The vast ocean that is digital accessibility can be daunting and feel difficult to navigate, but every journey starts with a first step (or perhaps doggy paddle in this case).

It is easy to feel like you are lost at sea at times when looking at the technical side of accessibility, but don’t worry. Your accessibility voyage begins with this workshop and we will steer you in the right direction.

In this two hour workshop, we will:

  • Explore the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  • Establish a set of checkpoints to gain WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
  • We will also take a look at the tools you can use to test website accessibility, including our first glimpse of a screen reader.
  • Discuss improvements that can be made beyond the WCAG guidelines.

If that’s not enough, we will also share the gotchas that have caused us a few headaches in the past.

Our clients said…

I appreciated the broad range of disabilities and difficulties highlighted.
